Complex & Advanced Gastrointestinal (GI)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS (with FNA/FNB), luminal stenting, third-space endoscopy (ESD, POEM), and bariatric interventions.
• Manage complex GI conditions (pancreaticobiliary disease, IBD, GI oncology, motility) in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Collaborate with hepatology, oncology, surgery, and radiology for integrated care.
• Participate in quality improvement, MDT/tumour boards, teaching, and optional research.
• Utilize advanced EHR systems with scribe and procedural support.
• Average 12–18 procedures per week with protected endoscopy time.

Best-in-Class Qualifications Required

• MBBS or equivalent from a recognized Indian medical college.
• ECFMG certification (required).
• Successful completion of all USMLE Steps 1, 2 CK, and 3.
• ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency followed by Gastroenterology fellowship.
• Strongly preferred: 1-year Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship (ERCP, EUS, therapeutic).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible by ABIM in Gastroenterology.
• Minimum 5 years of actual post-fellowship clinical experience.
• Demonstrated procedural proficiency per ASGE guidelines.
• Unrestricted state medical license, DEA registration, hospital privileges.
