Complex & Advanced Gastrointestinal (GI)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS (with FNA/FNB), luminal stenting, third-space endoscopy (ESD, POEM), and bariatric interventions.
• Manage complex GI conditions (pancreaticobiliary disease, IBD, GI oncology, motility) in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Collaborate with hepatology, oncology, surgery, and radiology for integrated care.
• Participate in quality improvement, MDT/tumour boards, teaching, and optional research.
• Utilize advanced EHR systems with scribe and procedural support.
• Average 12–18 procedures per week with protected endoscopy time.

Best-in-Class Qualifications Required

• MBBS or equivalent from a recognized Indian medical college (WFME-listed).
• GMC registration with licence to practise (Specialist Register entry preferred).
• MRCP (UK) or equivalent + completion of Gastroenterology higher specialty training (or via CESR/Portfolio route).
• IELTS Academic 7.5+ or OET grade B in all components.
• CCT or CESR in Gastroenterology / Hepatology.
• Minimum 5 years of post-MRCP clinical experience including advanced endoscopy.
• JAG accreditation in advanced endoscopy procedures (ERCP / EUS) preferred.
• DBS clearance and WHO Code of Practice compliance.
